A new era of youth empowerment and skills development
In a groundbreaking partnership, IFS Tanzania has joined forces with the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) to launch an accredited training programme specifically designed for the mining, oil, and gas sectors.
This initiative aims to address critical skill shortages, empowering youth and women to build sustainable careers in industries that were once male-dominated.
โThis is not just about offering internships or vocational training,โ said ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ด๐๐ฒ, Majority Owner of IFS TZ. โItโs about creating pathways for young Tanzaniansโespecially womenโto step into roles that have historically been inaccessible to them.โ
At the heart of this partnership is a vision for a future where Tanzanians, especially women, step into roles historically inaccessible to them. From practical training to dual accreditation, weโre not just preparing young people for jobs but for long-term careers that will shape the nationโs economy.
โBy aligning our training modules with the real-world needs of the industry, we are preparing students not just for jobs but for long-term careers,โ explained Natasha Main, Chief People Officer at IFS Group.
As ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐บ๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ฆ๐๐น๐๐ต๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป continues to champion female-led enterprises and youth development, IFS Tanzania is proud to contribute to these national goals.
Together with VETA and industry leaders, weโre building a sustainable pipeline of talent to fuel Tanzaniaโs growth.
Stay tuned for updates as we pave the way for Tanzaniaโs future workforce, creating opportunities for all, especially women, to thrive in the mining and energy sectors.
