Key Responsibilities:

• To provide electrical services on site with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs, installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading electrical systems and equipment.

• Analyse blue prints and drawings of electrical systems for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems.

• Inspect electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventative maintenance.

• Repair electrical components and/or systems (eg. motors, circuits, transformers, generators, compressors, switches, kitchen equipment, etc).

• Respond to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.

• Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair.

• Prepare written materials such as repair status and activity logs for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information.
  Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritising and self-development.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma/qualification in electrical repair and maintenance or a related diploma/qualification Trade test qualified

• 6 years’ experience in in commercial/industrial electrical maintenance.
